// EVENT Concierge Position (Work-Exchange):

The Hivery is looking for friendly, positive, responsible Event Concierges to join our team. In exchange for supporting weekly signature and private events, you get a FREE Unlimited Membership to The Hivery!

The Hivery is alive and filled with magnetic energy. As an Event Concierge, you’ll be helping to build a community and contributing to an important movement.


During your event shifts at The Hivery, you will be responsible for supporting The Hivery’s Head of Events with event coordination! You will help to create a welcoming environment for all event presenters, hosts, and guests, and also support the maintenance of our beautiful space by setting/cleaning up, replenishing supplies, and leading hospitality services. Outside of your shift, you are an Unlimited Member of The Hivery and can use the space to work, write, and create independently. And remember, when you’re a work-exchange member, you have all the benefits of a Hivery member. You can come in to work, meet with clients, join our Member Directory, attend our free events and get the member discount on our paid workshops. And maybe the most special of all is you will be part of The Hivery team. 


  • Sign up for event shifts ideally 4 weeks before and be open to occasional short-notice venue rental bookings

  • Respond to group messages on email/project management platform regarding upcoming events

  • Open and lock-up the event space, and manage lighting, heating etc.

  • Set up desks and chairs in requested theater, circle or meeting room layout

  • Prepare fresh coffee and lay out refreshments (for Hivery events only)

  • Assist with questions and support needed from the presenter/speaker/host/company (if Head of Events is not available) before, during and after the event such (including tech support with WIFI, TV etc.)

  • Assist with attendee check in especially when Head of Events is introducing the speaker

  • Provide hospitality support for attendees before, during and after the event

  • Lead post-event clean up, including reconfiguring the room, taking out waste bin, returning items to The Hivery main space

  • Attend special event briefings by phone

Time Commitment:

Event Concierges support Hivery events 14 - 22 hours a month. Commitments Include:

  • 1 Hivery Circle from 5:30-10.00pm (4.5 hrs)

  • 2 daytime workshop circles 11.45 am - 2. 15 pm (3 - 4hrs each)

  • 1 special event (5 hrs)

  • 1 - 2 weekday private events* (up to 8 hrs)


  • VERY supportive of women creating meaningful work in their lives, as well as friendly, personable and caring nature

  • Can do, friendly attitude

  • Excited to be an active team member in a start-up environment

  • Must be highly organized, with amazing attention to detail (you notice everything!)

  • Very reliable, mature and grounded

  • Strong communication skills, articulate and courteous

  • Ability to collaborate and work as a team

  • Detail-oriented, very visual, proactive and trustworthy

  • Previous hospitality, or customer service experience strongly preferred (or a reputation for being an incredibly nice person).
