Roll up your sleeves, bring your questions, spreadsheets, and files. This workshop is about setting your business up to succeed.
If you're thinking about starting a business (or already have one), you know there's much more to creating success than just the vision itself. There are the nuts and bolts of setting yourself up to succeed….the administrative setup, legal formations, and financial reporting and tracking. But, you don’t have to avoid or dread it! And, as a business owner or contractor, it’s imperative to get this right from the start.
This facilitated discussion provides the fundamentals, need-to-knows, and to-do checklists for ensuring success as a new business entity, or as a business looking to get better organized. The goal of this workshop is to take the guesswork and legwork out of figuring this stuff out, AND create a space for sharing of ideas among other women entrepreneurs. You'll start where you are...whether that's in the throes of business development or at the seedling stage of a new idea.
We'll roll up our sleeves in this working session to review and discuss issues like: business licenses and registration, legal and financial structure, understand employer responsibilities, set up your financial reporting, and much more.
Mary Gassen, principal at Launch Business Consulting and owner of Noe Valley Bakery, will host this discussion. Mary is a seasoned entrepreneur who has started multiple, successful businesses and coached many startups.
Note: This workshop is not providing legal or financial advice. We are sharing insights, resources, and steps for setting up the basics.
