If you feel like you’re taking care of everyone except yourself, or you’re on someone else’s path, creatively stifled, or simply unsure of what to do next, you are not alone. The Hivery What's Next Workshop is here for you.
Why Should You Participate?
The quest and exploration of identifying possibilities for what's next can move from daunting to exciting especially when done in a group of other supportive women.
What’s Next Workshop (5-Week Program):
Over five weeks, you'll walk away with basic knowledge about who you are, what makes you tick and how to setup your environment to thrive.
Recognize patterns that are holding you back and identify threads that point to your purposeful work. You will also receive a toolkit chock-full of practical actions to support healthy change for your transition into what’s next for you.
This isn’t just one more, one-off workshop, but a process where you can actually create meaningful steps toward change. You will be guided in creating new habits that support change and an opportunity to participate in accountability circles to stay on track.
Who would benefit from this workshop?
Whether you want to go back to work, back to school, start a business, or volunteer in a personally meaningful way, the "What's Next” program will help you to identify possibilities that match who you are, what you are naturally good at, and what excites you. What’s Next Alumnae include: new moms, empty nesters, and women in all life transitions transitions who feel stuck or need motivation and inspiration.
This course series is especially for women who crave being part of a supportive group of like-minded women that encourage ideas, next steps and action.
What is Required From What’s Next Participants?
You don’t need to know what you want...it’s perfectly okay if you don’t. Our only expectation is that you show up fully and that you are ready and willing to explore positive change in your life!
What You Will Learn:
Why Am I Stuck?
First you will need to understand why you are stuck. We will explain the myriad of environmental blocks, cultural themes and brain biases that keep you from moving forward. You will find out how to change your mindset, let go of expectations and clear away roadblocks.
Who Am I?
We begin with introductions, intentions and a variety of self assessment explorations including the Myers Briggs (a Personality Typology Inventory). Additionally, we will explore Interests through the Holland Code, Character Strengths, Skills, Values and a variety of creative exercises that will help you to brainstorm possibilities that are complementary to your true nature.
What do you need to create change?
We work together to intentionally create space for What’s Next by identifying what works and what no longer serves you. You will life-design both your physical environment and relationships, to support your new chapter. This is a key component to organizing your life to get “unstuck” and make actual change.
What Should I Do?
We are not here to tell you what to do, but rather we will guide you towards identifying the intersection of your core values, interests, strengths and skills. This is the intersection where “good fit” possibilities reside.
How Can I Act on Creating Change for Myself?
We create actions and accountability around "trying things on." Your Hivery group will be there to help you investigate, network and find out if new action paths are a match with who you are and what you want to do.
Finally, we will craft your toolkit to create a practice that supports authentic change. You will receive practical tools and a variety of Positive Psychology techniques to create your own custom recipe for change.

About Your Facilitators, Laura and Linda:
Laura Riordan, Ph.D. is a holistic life coach who helps her clients find balance and meaningful success. With a Ph.D. in Transpersonal Psychology and 20 years in the mind and body wellness industry, she brings wisdom, clarity and swiftness to her coaching practice. Laura began her career as the head of client services for retreat style resorts and spas, helping people center and refocus themselves while escaping the daily challenges of modern life. While overseeing spa programs and working as a massage therapist, she discovered that retreats were great at providing short-term relief, but they could not offer the kind of long-standing change that so many people needed.
Laura’s coaching practice evolved from the understanding that people need a guide to help identify their meaningful work, ground aha moments and give accountability and infrastructure to make lasting changes. Laura leverages her Ph.D. to help her clients find bigger versions of themselves and her strategic and practical skills to create a road map to get there.
Linda Lesem, M.S. is a trained therapist, career counselor and life coach, specializing in Positive Psychology, (the Science of Happiness). She works individually with clients in her own practice, and also facilitates groups for clients, who are yearning to create positive change in their lives! Linda created Moms In Transition, a workshop for Moms who are ready to take their next step, and are asking themselves…"What is next for me?" This is a great way for a small group of women to be together, as they "get back in touch with who they are", and "what they want" and then start the process of creating a plan for themselves, whether that be re-entering the paid working world, going back to school or volunteering in personally meaningful ways.
What’s Next Participant Testimonials:
I want to thank you both again for the last four wonderful weeks of "What's Next?" The class exceeded all my expectations and was truly insightful. I appreciate your thoughtful approach and stimulating content. It is such a pleasure to have discovered The Hivery and to have spent time with inspiring, courageous women in class this past month...I did not want the class to end!
I don't have words to describe how valuable I found today's session to be, and how excited I am for the 3 remaining sessions we have. Over the 25 years I've been in the working world, I have worked with a number of career coaches, attended multiple workshops, and purchased countless career books (I just dusted off "Do What You Are" and "The Wisdom of the Enneagram" from my bookshelf). Today's session produced more "aha" moments for me than any I can remember from years past, and we are just at the beginning.
I met a friend for lunch who asked me about the workshop and I was happy to tell her the two top take-aways for me were: (1) understanding all the aspects of my life and how they fit together (2) how to structure my schedule in a way that compartmentalizes all the pieces. SO MUCH BETTER.
While I know I have the knowledge, the courage and the intelligence it is all still quite a scary process... I am putting my best foot forward and filing my life with lots of positive support and encouragement. I am so thankful to have found the combination of the two of you to help me along this path!
