Conscious Activism- Hivery Community Joins Women’s March

On Saturday, January 21st people across the country are coming together in support of human rights, civil liberties, and social justice for all. The Hivery is proudly joining this movement by participating in the local Women’s (People's) March San Francisco event.

Food + Water: Please eat lunch beforehand, and bring your own snacks.

Parking: Make plans to carpool, Uber/Lyft/taxi, or be dropped off. Parking in downtown Mill Valley is, as you know, limited, and with 300 people attending, do not depend on finding a space.

Signs: We will have a number of pre-made signs. If you would like to make your own sign please keep the messaging positive, inclusive, supportive and kind, and note that no signs with posts are allowed. Here are a few ideas: “This is What Democracy Looks Like”, “No Hate, No Fear”, “Women Weaving Wholeness”, “We March For All ”, “Peace and Equality for All”, “The Future is Female”, “A Woman’s Place is in the Revolution”, “The future belongs to those who can change it”.

Be prepared: The weather in San Francisco is unpredictable, so dress in layers, and be ready for rain and wind. Also, be sure to wear comfortable, durable shoes. For more tips check out this article

Registration: When you arrive, you will check in, sign a waiver, and in exchange, receive a special Hivery package (including a yellow scarf, a pin, a battery operated candle, and rain poncho).

The Women’s March is peaceful, healing, and unifying action with sister events across the country. We gather to support each other and amplify the voices of compassion, civility, and inclusion across our nation. Please take a moment to review the Guiding Principles of the Women’s March from their website.

“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.”

-- Martin Luther King, Jr
