A supportive group of writers who gather together every month at The Hivery to share resources, wisdom, experiences, and receive writer-to-writer support!
This month, the Writer's Circle is a check-in on projects and an opportunity to receive support and resources from the group. All are welcome, no writing experience necessary! Start here or be a fly on the wall! Thais will also be giving a short bonus "lesson" on plot theory.
Keep your writing projects in focus by attending The Hivery's monthly Writer's Circle. After this gathering, we continue to cheer each other on while writing at The Hivery, attending other Hivery community events, workshops and participating in our online forums. Come join us!
As seats are limited, advance online registration is required. Free for members. $30 for non-members. BYO brown-bag lunch discussion. All are welcome!

ABOUT THAIS DERICH
Thais Nye Derich’s new memoir—Second Chance: A Mother’s Quest for a Natural Birth after a Cesarean (She Writes Press, May 9, 2017)—tells a powerful story about her traumatic hospital delivery, and her decision post-cesarean to give birth naturally. Derich’s past work has been published in Salon, Literary Mama, Wild Violet Literary Magazine, Forge Journal, SFGate, and The San Francisco Examiner among others. A chapter of Second Chance was a finalist for the Creative Non-Fiction Magazine’s Baby Anthology. She's been interviewed on NPR, KPFA, and KRCB radio stations and various podcasts including Dr. Berlin's Informed Pregnancy Podcast. Thais speaks to groups big and small about her story and the intersection between birth and social justice.
Thais lives in Mill Valley, CA with her husband and two sons. She’s currently writing her second book – a postapocalyptic novel about the last baby girl on earth.
"It’s a real testimonial to your Writing Group because I felt supported and therefore took bigger risks in my writing. I am very grateful. Lots of high fives to you." - Lisa Pepper-Satkin, Executive Therapeutic Coach, MA, MFT after getting paid for placement of her essay.
