Every month The Hivery invites new and established authors to share their wisdom, experiences and resources for writers and non-writers who love books.
On Thursday, May 9th we are thrilled to welcome Devi S. Laskar! She joins us to talk about her book, The Atlas of Reds and Blues, an arresting debut novel which bears witness to American racism and abuse of power, tracing one woman’s shift from acquiescence to resistance.
The Writer's Circle is facilitated by Hivery Member, Thais Derich. Thais Derich's memoir—Second Chance: A Mother’s Quest for a Natural Birth after a Cesarean (She Writes Press, May 9, 2017)—was a finalist for the Foreword Reviews' 2017 Book of the Year Award. Second Chance was also a finalist for the Creative Non-Fiction Magazine’s Baby Anthology. Thais is an international writer and public speaker on "Being the Hero of Your Life" and "Seeing Invisible Choices" in childbirth and beyond! She is also the founder of the "Write Your Impact" book program.
As seats are limited, advance online registration is required. Free for members. $30 for non-members. BYO brown-bag lunch discussion. All are welcome!
