As a former professional ballet and modern dancer, Grace's career began with the very fortunate experience of doing work that she loved and was passionate about.
As her career evolved from dancer to mother to marketer to founder of a women's collaborative work lab, she has always been committed to the mission of inspiring women to pursue those things that instill creativity, passion, and purpose.
Bringing over 15 years of general management experience, Julie has held executive marketing positions for Fortune 100 consumer package goods companies after graduating from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. She specializes in new product development in both domestic and international markets and has worked in venture-funded as well as non-profit startups. Julie manages the Signed First Editions club at Book Passage and leads three different book discussions in Southern Marin. She is passionate about all types of stories and celebrates the way they illuminate the human condition and bring people together.
Susan comes to The Hivery with more than 20 years of experience as a creative entrepreneur specializing in marketing, graphic design, branding, product development, and strategy. Her career has included working with creative companies like Chronicle Books and founding businesses including SGS Design Studio, a graphic design firm, and Kimochis, a line of educational products for children. Susan has a passion for team-building, creative thinking, and collaboration. She is somewhat obsessed with typography, fitness classes, books, her amazing daughters, the Warriors, and exploring the trails of Marin with her beloved dogs and husband.
Rachel is a lifelong builder and connector, passionate about helping people make an impact. She co-founded Bluebelle Concierge in 2010, where she led strategic partnerships and communications for corporate and private clients throughout the Bay Area for six years. After launching a number philanthropic initiatives through Bluebelle and on her own, Rachel worked for several local nonprofits, notably the JCC East Bay and Dalai Lama Fellows, and has held volunteer leadership roles with Spark and Alliance for Girls. Rachel is a Bay Area native and enjoys exploring local beaches and parks with her husband and Wheaten Terrier!
Sophie Davies has been in the communications field for over twenty years, and has successfully co-run the branding business Prim'd Marketing for the past four and a half years. Sophie has worked with an international portfolio of brands including Lacoste, Calvin Klein and Hugo Boss in the U.K before moving to the U.S 11 years ago. Sophie has developed brand strategy and marketing for a variety of brands and business owners within the publishing, wedding, events, wellness and lifestyle industries. Sophie combines her PR, branding and marketing expertise with event strategy and management to create experiences that foster meaningful connection and learning. Sophie is the one to ask about the latest movies, books, and podcasts usually over a cup of Earl Gray tea.
Marti is inspired every day by #womendoingcoolstuff at the Hivery, and is thrilled to be here keeping the operations running smoothly and helping members make the most of their experience! She is passionate about empowering women and girls around the globe and finds the Hivery a perfect place to learn more and explore these opportunities.
Marti worked in public relations at national and local agencies on consumer brands, as well as heading her own communications consultancy for several years. She has held leadership roles on the Marin County Women’s Commission, the Marin Teen Girl Conference and on the Board of Directors for the Marin Girls Chorus.
She and her family have been long time puppy raisers for Guide Dogs for the Blind. Marti and her husband are parents of two wonderful young adults, and live in San Rafael.
Kim is a visual storyteller. After telling stories as a character animator on award winning visual effects films and commercials for many years in her native Canada and here in California at Industrial Light + Magic (Lucasfilm), Kim continues to create visual narratives through her photography. Her current projects encompass her love of natural light, food, and lifestyle portraits of makers and creative entrepreneurs with their work.
When she’s not at The Hivery working with the team on creative projects and marketing support, she will most likely be with her husband, daughter and their silly dog on a beach somewhere.
As a visionary, artist, and entrepreneur, Tatyana lives by the belief that beauty, adventure, laughter and love can transform the world. This has lead her all over the world, working in multiple professions, integrating diverse skills into everything she does. She has been in the events and production industry for over 15 years. She has helped create events ranging from conscious conferences for The Foundation for Inner Peace to integrative company retreats to charitable galas. She has been a Producer for international film production companies, the Ambassador of Love for an eco-conscious clothing company, the Creative Director and Electrical Engineer for a conscious VR company, a Production Artist for David LaChapelle, an Art Curator, Fashion Designer, Videographer, Photographer, Writer, and Private Chef. She is a Business Coach to multiple international companies, recreating their business model to one of global thriving through consciousness, sustainability, and love. She helps others actualize their dreams and brings communities together, uplifting the world to a place of unity.
Amanda has been in the Communications field for 15 years and successfully running her own consulting business for the last five years. Her strength is in studying and understanding the media landscape and working on integrated social media, influencer marketing, PR campaigns to reach customers where they already are with targeted content. She does everything from developing both organic and paid social media/content strategy to drafting social copy and engaging with online communities on behalf of brands. She specializes in working with big complex organizations and creating infrastructure and process to make marketing more efficient and data-driven. Past + current clients include - Dell, Starbucks, Levi Strauss, WorkMarket, SAP, Love Stories TV.
Lani has over a decade of experience spearheading PR campaigns for brands in myriad verticals, including health and fitness, travel and hospitality, architecture and design, fashion and beauty. She has launched hotels in Thailand for Starwood, guided the debut of Tishman Speyer's first residential project, established international awareness for Healdsburg, introduced KRAVE Jerky and Health Warrior to consumers, and supported the rapid growth of YogaWorks and Skin Laundry. She has also devised and carried out partnerships between clients and world-renowned brands to meet specific goals. She believes PR is so much more than just "winning" media coverage and telling a client's story -- she works best when integrated as an extension of a client's internal team in order to optimally support brands as they launch, grow, and pivot.
Thoroughly enjoying being part of this amazing team, Stas works behind the scenes at the Hivery to capture the rich video content from Hivery Circle evenings, as well as many Hivery special events, workshops and conferences. His Novato-based company, MavMedia has been shooting and editing promotional and educational videos for Bay Area businesses and institutions since 2010.
Stas is also a multi-faceted composer, musician & music producer. He has scored music for broadcast commercials, documentary films and mobile gaming applications. He’s produced four CD titles for the Sausalito, CA-based World-Music label Real Music, and is the creator of the award-winning Classical Child Series®, a whimsical CD collection of classical music for kids.
