Meet the Team
As a former professional ballet and modern dancer, Grace's career began with the very fortunate experience of doing work that she loved and was passionate about.
As her career evolved from dancer to mother to marketer to founder of a women's collaborative work lab, she has always been committed to the mission of inspiring women to pursue those things that instill creativity, passion, and purpose.
Bringing over 15 years of general management experience, Julie has held executive marketing positions for Fortune 100 consumer package goods companies after graduating from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. She specializes in new product development in both domestic and international markets and has worked in venture-funded as well as non-profit startups. Julie manages the Signed First Editions club at Book Passage and leads three different book discussions in Southern Marin. She is passionate about all types of stories and celebrates the way they illuminate the human condition and bring people together.
After 30+ years climbing the corporate ladder and achieving "success" at the executive level at international retailers including Esprit, Gap and Old Navy, I decided it was time to be true to myself and pursue my creative side. I now draw, paint, and explore mixed media and photography. Check out my work at www.annelafolletteart.com.

I’m a writer, writing coach, activist for women's health, and the author of "Second Chance: A Mother's Quest for a Natural Birth After a Cesarean" (She Writes Press, 2017). I’m helping our wider community use The Hivery's beautiful space for their meetings and events through The Hivery's Venue Rental offering. And, I am nurturing The Hivery's talented community of writers as the Writing Program Coordinator.
When I’m not helping at The Hivery I’m creating online content to help my clients with social media marketing. Its’s a natural fit that I love iPhone photography and teach classes to help you use the camera that’s always with you.
When I’m not helping at The Hivery, I’m working to develop Dare to Detour, an outdoor adventure retreat for women who are looking for something more and are ready to step off their current path to find it.
When I'm not helping at The Hivery, I'm often pursuing my passion for creating a healthy lifestyle for myself and my family. As a recovering entrepreneur, I also consult on brand, e-commerce, and merchandising.
