As a former professional ballet and modern dancer, Grace's career began with the very fortunate experience of doing work that she loved and was passionate about.
As her career evolved from dancer to mother to marketer to founder of a women's collaborative work lab, she has always been committed to the mission of inspiring women to pursue those things that instill creativity, passion, and purpose.
Julie Carlucci, VP of Strategy & Operations
Bringing over 15 years of general management experience, Julie has held executive marketing positions for Fortune 100 consumer package goods companies after graduating from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. She specializes in new product development in both domestic and international markets and has worked in venture-funded as well as non-profit startups. Julie manages the Signed First Editions club at Book Passage and leads three different book discussions in Southern Marin. She is passionate about all types of stories and celebrates the way they illuminate the human condition and bring people together.
Susan Schroeder, Director of Marketing
Susan comes to The Hivery with more than 20 years of experience as a creative entrepreneur specializing in marketing, graphic design, branding, publishing and consumer products. Her career has included working with companies like Chronicle Books and founding businesses including SGS Design Studio, a graphic design firm, and Kimochis, a line of educational products for children. When not providing marketing insights for The Hivery, she can be found trying new fitness classes, exploring the trails of Marin with her beloved pooch, or trying to keep up with her adventurous husband and two active daughters.
Rachel Schneider, Director of Programming
Rachel is a lifelong builder and connector, passionate about helping people make an impact. She co-founded Bluebelle Concierge in 2010, where she led strategic partnerships and communications for corporate and private clients throughout the Bay Area for six years. After launching a number philanthropic initiatives through Bluebelle and on her own, Rachel worked for several local nonprofits, notably the JCC East Bay and Dalai Lama Fellows, and has held volunteer leadership roles with Spark and Alliance for Girls. Rachel is a Bay Area native and enjoys exploring local beaches and parks with her husband and Wheaten Terrier!
Tatyana Kabealo, Director of Events + Creativity
As a visionary, artist, and entrepreneur, Tatyana lives by the belief that beauty, adventure, laughter and love can transform the world. This has lead her all over the world, working in multiple professions, integrating diverse skills into everything she does. She has been in the events and production industry for over 15 years. She has helped create events ranging from conscious conferences for The Foundation for Inner Peace to integrative company retreats to charitable galas. She has been a Producer for international film production companies, the Ambassador of Love for an eco-conscious clothing company, the Creative Director and Electrical Engineer for a conscious VR company, a Production Artist for David LaChapelle, an Art Curator, Fashion Designer, Videographer, Photographer, Writer, and Private Chef. She is a Business Coach to multiple international companies, recreating their business model to one of global thriving through consciousness, sustainability, and love. She helps others actualize their dreams and brings communities together, uplifting the world to a place of unity. She believes in the infinite potential of every being. She loves the Earth and animals. She participates in self-development retreats and courses, ever continuing her commitment to being the highest version of herself possible.
Marti Rule, Community Manager
Marti is inspired every day by #womendoingcoolstuff at the Hivery, and is thrilled to be here keeping the operations running smoothly and helping members make the most of their experience! She is passionate about empowering women and girls around the globe and finds the Hivery a perfect place to learn more and explore these opportunities .
Marti worked in public relations at national and local agencies on consumer brands, as well as heading her own communications consultancy for several years. She has held leadership roles on the Marin County Women’s Commission, the Marin Teen Girl Conference and on the Board of Directors for the Marin Girls Chorus.
She and her family have been long time puppy raisers for Guide Dogs for the Blind. Marti and her husband are parents of two wonderful young adults, and live in San Rafael.
Kim Thompson Steel, Visual Content Producer
Kim is a visual storyteller. After telling stories as a character animator on award winning visual effects films and commercials for many years, Kim’s continues to create visual narratives through her photography. Her current projects encompass her love of natural light, food, and lifestyle portraits of makers and creative entrepreneurs with their work. When she’s not at The Hivery working with the team on creative projects and marketing support, she will most likely be with her husband and daughter and their silly dog on a beach somewhere.
