Meet the Team
As a former professional ballet and modern dancer, Grace's career began with the very fortunate experience of doing work that she loved and was passionate about.
As her career evolved from dancer to mother to marketer to founder of a women's collaborative work lab, she has always been committed to the mission of inspiring women to pursue those things that instill creativity, passion, and purpose.
Bringing over 15 years of general management experience, Julie has held executive marketing positions for Fortune 100 consumer package goods companies after graduating from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. After majoring in Strategic Communications and Public Relations from Southern Methodist University, Sydney moved back home to the Bay Area where she works on social media and marketing for The Hivery, and models on the side. If you ever need vegan recipes, beauty product recommendations, or social media tips, come see her!
With a career in advertising, graphic design management, and event planning, Betsy has enjoyed bringing her skills to The Hivery. She loves to plan a great party and loves to connect people. Opening champagne is one of her many super powers. She is also passionate about her study of yoga nidra and hopes to bring a meditation class to you soon!
After 30+ years climbing the corporate ladder and achieving "success" at the executive level at international retailers including Esprit, Gap and Old Navy, I decided it was time to be true to myself and pursue my creative side. I now draw, paint, and explore mixed media and photography. Check out my work at www.annelafolletteart.com.
I’m a veteran retail executive who leveraged her design and merchandising talents to launch my own jewelry, accessory and home decor business. I’m helping The Hivery develop cool retail swag!
Art and creating, along with science were my first loves. I graduated with a BA from the Art Center College of Design with honors. During my career as a graphic designer I took a break and started a wholesale baby clothing business called Baby Orbit. I sold internationally within a year but I was young and under financed so I closed the doors. For the past 11 years I worked at Gap HQ. I’m exploring what’s next so my next chapter is fun, fulfilling and flexible.
