The Future of Entrepreneurship is Community Building {The Hivery SF Residency}
Hosted by The Hivery
Wednesday, October 7 | 6:30 – 8:30 PM
ERIA San Francisco, 2300 Chestnut St, San Francisco, CA 94123
There was a time when entrepreneurship meant figuring it all out yourself—building behind closed doors, protecting your ideas, and only sharing once everything looked polished. But a new generation of entrepreneurs is building differently.
We’re building in community.
We’re sharing the behind-the-scenes. Collaborating instead of competing. Creating opportunities for one another. Making introductions, exchanging ideas, and recognizing that the people around us can become one of our greatest business assets.
Join us for an intimate evening with local founders, authors, and community builders exploring why community may be one of the most powerful business strategies of our time.
Together, we’ll talk about how communities can create visibility, referrals, partnerships, creativity, resilience, and sustainable growth and what it actually looks like to build a business with people rather than simply for them.
Expect meaningful conversation, honest stories from behind the scenes of entrepreneurship, new connections, and plenty of time to meet other women building and dreaming in the Bay Area.
Featuring:
Keynote Speaker: Grace Kraaijvanger

Moderator: Magali Mathieu — Founder, Unlock Your Vitality

Featured Speakers
Bonniebelle “BB” Olive is a working mother of two and a founder of the Ocean Beach Plunge Club (OBPC).
After building a career in creative, community-led work, she pivoted into a faster-paced field that offered challenge—but less of the creativity and connection she loved. Parenthood added another layer: balancing two young girls, work, friendships, a partnership, and herself—often last. Over margaritas at a neighborhood taco shop, BB and a friend found the "cure": meet before sunrise, walk a few miles, and jump into the ocean.
The first outing—headlamps, nerves, no plunge—sparked a movement anyway. Three women became thirty; a friendlier 6:30 a.m. start and twice-monthly Salty Socials followed. Through word of mouth, DIY social media, and an International Women’s Day partnership with Athleta, OBPC has grown into a simple remedy: show up when you can, exactly as you are, and get your salty dose of movement and connection.
Jadah Sellner is a bestselling author, TEDx speaker, poet, and founder of She Builds Collective, where she helps women lead in ways that honor both ambition and well-being.
She is the author of She Builds and co-author of Simple Green Smoothies, which inspired over one million people worldwide.
Through her coaching, retreats, and the Lead with Love® podcast, Jadah helps women redefine success, release hustle culture, and build businesses that are both aligned and sustainable.
Her work has been featured in Forbes, O, The Oprah Magazine, and The Wall Street Journal, and she believes that LOVE is a leadership strategy.
When she’s not mentoring women or speaking on stage, you’ll find Jadah dancing to Beyoncé, playing Bananagrams, or sipping a chai latte by the fire with her family in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Barbara Mighdoll is a San Francisco-based entrepreneur, former tech marketing executive, and Founder of New Modern Mom. After a decade building and leading marketing teams at high-growth tech companies, Barbara left corporate life to pursue entrepreneurship and build businesses centered around community, connection, and intentional living.
Today, she is the CEO and Owner of MNTSTUDIO, which she is expanding from a Pilates studio into a Wellness Social Club combining movement, recovery, coworking, and community. She is also the Co-Founder of Roam Collective, a family summer-abroad company designed to make living and working abroad possible through built-in childcare, coworking, experiences, and community.
Across New Modern Mom, MNTSTUDIO, and Roam Collective, Barbara is reimagining what it looks like to build an ambitious career and a fulfilling life—with community at the center.
Magali Mathieu is an entrepreneur, holistic business coach, and community builder. She is the Founder of Unlock Your Vitality, CRO of Eco-Experience Program, and most recently, the Growth Partner at The Hivery, where she supports the company’s next stage of growth.
In 2016, Magali co-founded the social impact tech company atlasGO, where she spent six years building and scaling the business. Her own experience with burnout ultimately led her to rethink what success could look like and how to build ambitious businesses without sacrificing wellbeing along the way.
Today, Magali works with women entrepreneurs to start and scale businesses that are both successful and deeply aligned with the lives they want to live. Her work sits at the intersection of entrepreneurship, wellbeing, community, and self-trust, with a particular expertise in turning ideas into businesses and helping early-stage founders grow.
She is also the host of the Unlock Your Vitality podcast and writer of Poured With Love, where she explores business, personal growth, and creating a life that feels as good as it looks.
