Own Your Voice {The Hivery SF Residency}
Hosted by The Hivery
Tuesday, October 13 | 11:30 AM – 4:30 PM
ERIA San Francisco, 2300 Chestnut St, San Francisco, CA 94123
You have an idea. Maybe you have been sitting on it for a while. Maybe you are already building it but struggling to explain it, pitch it, or get the right people to pay attention.
This is the day we fix that.
Month two of The Hivery SF Residency is all about visibility and voice — the practical, sometimes uncomfortable, always worthwhile work of getting your idea out into the world. How do you talk about what you do? How do you get in front of the right people? How do you ask for what you need without apologizing for needing it?
Come for the workshop, stay for the queen bee visibility seat, and settle in for an afternoon of coworking with women who get it. You will leave with clearer language, an opportunity to practice saying what you do, and a room full of people who are genuinely rooting for you.
AGENDA
11:30am–12pm — Arrivals and icebreaker. A warm-up activity to get the room talking before we dive in.
12–12:15pm — Welcome from Grace. A quick look at what The Hivery SF Residency is building, month by month.
12:15–12:45 pm – La Boulangerie's gorgeous coffee, tea, salads, and sandwiches are available to order (lunch isn’t included in ticket price), because good food makes everything better, including a workshop.
12:45 pm - 1:45pm — The Offer/Ask Workshop. Lunch is served — We spend this hour on the most useful exercise you will do all month: workshopping the answer to "so what do you do?" — and making it actually sound like you. A live demo of The Hivery method in action.
1:45- 2pm Break
2pm-3 pm — Hot Seat: Pitch Your Idea. Five women. Three minutes each. One rule for the audience: respond only with "What if..." The result is a room full of possibility, generosity, and ideas that build on ideas. First-come, first-serve hotseats.
