“All of Me Without Edit” is a creative, hands-on writing workshop that invites participants to boldly honor the parts of themselves they’ve hidden-whether your appearance, voice, story, or vision. In just a short session, you’ll create a poem or brief story that brings your truth into the light, unfiltered and unapologetic.
In a world that constantly, whispers and sometimes, shouts that who we are or what we are called to do is not enough. As a result, we’re led to believe we need just one more thing to finally feel settled in our worth, yet that “one more thing” is forever changing. In response, we begin to edit ourselves, our stories, and even our journeys, trying to fit into standards that were never made for us. From advertisements to social media feeds, from Hollywood’s beauty ideals to corporate boardrooms, persistent messages tell us what is acceptable and what must be hidden. We cover, filter, tuck, polish, and even compromise while spending time, energy, and even thousands of dollars to keep up with a standard that binds us to a race with no finish line, always chasing but never arriving.
“All of Me Without Edit” is a writer’s workshop that dares you to lay down the edits and pick up your pen as your most courageous voice. This space invites you to confront the elephant in the room-the silent standard that says you must conform. Here, you will give voice and honor to the parts of yourself you’ve been told are too much, not enough, or unworthy.
In this short but powerful session, you’ll use writing, whether as a poem or a brief storytelling piece to honor something you’ve silenced or hidden. It could be your body, your voice, your story, or even a vision or idea you never pursued because it didn’t seem to measure up to what’s popular or acceptable. By giving it words, you give it life, permission, and value.
Through guided prompts and encouragement, you will not just write-you will reclaim. This is your moment to write without apology, without filter, and without edit.
Everyone is welcome at this event.
